Tuwaiq Armour is a Saudi defence manufacturing company, formed to design and produce the Kavro‑Tuwaiq range of body armour and ballistic helmets for the Kingdom's defence and security forces.
Formed as a joint venture between MKU Limited and Sondos Advanced Industry, we bring together decades of global armour engineering with manufacturing rooted in the Kingdom. Every solution we build is lightweight, high‑performance, and certified to GAMI, NIJ and VPAM standards.
It is a partnership built on a simple premise: protection strong enough for the mission, made close to the forces who rely on it.

Unveiled at World Defense Show 2026
At World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh, MKU Limited and Sondos Advanced Industry formally unveiled Tuwaiq Armour Industrial Corporation to the Kingdom's defence community.
The inauguration was attended by Shri Sanjay Seth, Hon'ble Raksha Rajya Mantri, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, alongside senior officials from the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and representatives of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI).
Founded by two industrial partners

MKU is a global defence and homeland security company, and a pioneer in ballistic protection and advanced optronics for soldiers and platforms — recognised as an R&D centre by India's Ministry of Science and Technology, and certified to AS 9100D, NATO AQAP, BA 9000, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001.

Sondos Advanced Industry is one of the leading industrial entities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, specialising in the manufacturing and localisation of military equipment and specialised textiles, and developing advanced protection solutions for both military and civilian sectors.
Product lines span military equipment, fire suits, CBRN suits, ballistic protection, aviation and equipment covers, and workwear.
Manufacturing built for the Kingdom
Tuwaiq has established advanced, localised manufacturing infrastructure in Riyadh to accelerate ballistic‑protection localisation. The facility integrates modern machinery, in‑house testing capability, and skilled expertise to strengthen sovereign defence manufacturing.
That local infrastructure is built on manufacturing and testing capability developed by MKU over four decades — five state‑of‑the‑art facilities, in‑house ballistic and non‑ballistic testing, and rigorous process control at every stage of production.
Capability infrastructure shown reflects MKU's global manufacturing and testing operations, which underpin the Tuwaiq Armour joint venture.
